Biography:

Dr. Ivan Scott Lee serves as Senior Director for Transfer Success and Partnerships at ºì¶¹ÊÓÆµ (QC). A proud alum of CUNY, he earned his undergraduate degree in sociology-anthropology from the College of Staten Island (CSI) and his graduate degree in higher education administration from the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College.Ìý An aspiring scholar-practitioner, he obtained his doctoral degree in higher education from the School of Education at Northeastern University.

As Senior Director, Dr. Lee oversees the Transfer Hub and Accelerate Complete Engage (ACE QC) and provides administrative oversight for several transfer-focused programs and initiatives, such as Q-STEM, NSF-S-STEM, TS3, and CUNY Transfer Explorer (T-REX). Additionally, Dr. Lee serves as the project manager for the Transfer Student Success Intensive, facilitated by The Aspen Institute and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU).

Dr. Lee, a staunch advocate for public higher education and college student success, has received numerous recognitions, including awards from the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) and QC President’s Discimus ut serviamus Leadership award. He previously held leadership positions within CUNY, including founding directors of ACE QC and ASAP|ACE at CSI, and associate director for transfer and transition programs at QC.

Biography:

Daniel Yakubov serves as Associate Director for Grants and Transfer Initiatives atÌýºì¶¹ÊÓÆµÌý(QC). A proud QC alumnus, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Biological Anthropology, graduating with minors in Cities and Social Medicine and Health Sciences. He later completed his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics atÌýSUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, School of Public Health.

As Associate Director, Daniel oversees grant operations for the Office of the Associate Provost for Innovation and Student Success, managing a portfolio of multi-million-dollar initiatives that support student success, transfer advancement, STEM education, and undergraduate research. He provides operational leadership for the Transfer Hub and direct administrative oversight for several high-impact programs, including Q-STEM, NSF S-STEM, TS3, QC SURP, and other student-centered initiatives.

Daniel is also an educator, serving as a lecturer at bothÌýºì¶¹ÊÓÆµÌýandÌýLaGuardia Community College, where he teaches microbiology. Beyond the classroom, he is an active researcher affiliated with the Department of Surgery at SUNY Downstate, where his work centers on surgical outcomes research, health disparities, and epidemiologic methods. His current research examines how race and obesity may interact to influence post-operative mortality following common elective inpatient surgical procedures. His broader scholarly interests include public health, student success analytics, and systems-level strategies that improve institutional outcomes.
