CUNY Digital Accessibility Initiative (CUNY DAI) has created a Brightspace self-paced course on digital accessibility for CUNY. The course creator, Laura Todd, Technology Trainer (CUNY Central/CIS), is visiting campuses to present on digital accessibility during Fall 2026. ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ Library (QCL) and the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Leadership (CETLL) are collaborating to host Laura Todd at ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ on September 28, 2026 to present a talk on digital accessibility to the QC faculty and staff.

Presentation Topic
The talk will be centered around three key questions:
What is digital accessibility?
A high level overview of what digital accessibility means and the changing legal and policy
landscape.
Why does it matter here at CUNY?
A look at how digital accessibility supports equitable access for our students, faculty, and
staff with disabilities (both permanent and situational/temporary) and why it is especially
important now.
What can we do?
Practical ways we can all support digital accessibility best practices, including through the
new self-paced Digital Accessibility course in Brightspace.
