MS Nutrition and Exercise Sciences

The Master of Science Program in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences offers students the opportunity for advanced study in three (3)Ìýareas of specialization:
- Nutrition
- Exercise science
- Nutrition and exercise sciences
The program prepares future leaders in Nutrition and Exercise Science through rigorous training in research, evidence-based practice, and experiential learning. Graduates apply their expertise to advance knowledge and improve the health, performance, and well-being of diverse populations.
Program Learning Objectives
- Demonstrate comprehension and application of advanced concepts and theories of Nutrition and Exercise in health and pathology
- Demonstrate effective professional writing skills
- Demonstrate delivery of effective oral presentations for lay and professional audiences
- Critically assess and interpret research in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences
- Understand and describe ethical practices in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences
ÌýAdmission Eligibility
Applicants to the MS in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences must have a strong academic foundation in chemistry, biology, and nutrition or exercise science. Preparation for entry into the field is typically achieved through completion of a BS in Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences.
Highly motivated applicants with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related field may be considered for admission but may be required to complete prerequisite coursework to address any deficiencies.
