Welcome transfer students!
The Academic Advising Center offers support to new and returning transfer students on campus. ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ welcomes approximately 3,500 new transfer students each academic year. We recognize that as new students on our campus, you are different from freshmen and have different needs.
Transfer students’ previous experiences can range from one completed semester to a completed associate’s degree, or even a bachelor’s degree. As transfer students transition to ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ, we strive to meet their academic and social needs through programming, publications, student organizations, outreach, and advocacy. Your Transfer Advising Session is your first step after you are accepted to ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ. This is your opportunity to speak one on one with an advisor to discuss your transfer credits and your academic path going forward.
Prior to meeting with an academic advisor, you can use the .
is the source for the most up-to-date information about how CUNY colleges transfer and apply credit for both CUNY and non-CUNY courses, as well as for other learning experiences, like exams and certifications. Whether you are planning to transfer within CUNY or simply to take a course at another CUNY college, make T-Rex your go-to resource. T-Rex is intuitive and super easy to use, and allows you to do three key things:
- Compare how one or multiple CUNY colleges transfer and apply credit for the same course or learning experience.
- Identify how courses taken at one CUNY college satisfy program requirements in specific majors and minors at one or multiple CUNY colleges.
- Compare how your CUNY courses, completed or in process, transfer to another CUNY college – if you are or have ever been a CUNY student.
Whatever your prior college experience, or knowledge of ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ, we hope that the information and resources on this website will ease your transition and help you to be a successful QC student! We have outlined important steps to assist in your transition. Please see our 10 Steps Before/After your Virtual Transfer Advising Session for important information.
If you are affiliated with SEEK, ACE, Veterans, Honors, or the , please reach out to your respective program for advising and enrollment assistance. For prospective students: If you are interested in applying to ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ or obtaining more information on the transfer admissions process, please contact the Admissions Office.
We look forward to working with you and facilitating your transition to Queens.
