This page outlines ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ’s transition timeline from Blackboard to Brightspace by Spring 2024.
ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ (Group 1) LMS Transition Timeline
Fall 2023
- All courses are taught in Blackboard.
- Brightspace training begins for instructors.
- Courses in Blackboard from 2022-2024 are converted and transferred to Brightspace.
Spring 2024
- All courses are taught in Blackboard.
- Instructors will gain access to the Brightspace environment.
- Course development by instructors begins.
- Access to My Courses (Blackboard) will end at the end of Spring 2024.
Summer/Fall 2024
- All Courses and Organizations will be conducted through Brightspace, including all synchronous and asynchronous online classes.
- Students will have access to Brightspace in May 2024.

Getting Started
To get ready for the move to the Brightspace environment, faculty are encouraged to do some clean up on their current Blackboard courses. Once cleaned up, it is advised that courses be backed up by exporting the course. Learn more about this .
