About
Deborah J. Gruber, Ph.D.,ÌýBCBA-D, NYS LBA, is a Lecturer Doctoral Schedule in Special Education in the Department of Educational and Community Programs. Dr. Gruber supports candidates in developing knowledge and skills in evidence-based strategies for instruction, with a focus on developmental disabilities and individuals with autism spectrum disorder. Specific areas of interest include addressing the needs of children with developmental disabilities to engage in structured or organized movement alongside their typical peers. Her research includes teaching yoga to young children with developmental delays with teachers in the school environment and parents in the home. Dr. Gruber has taught classes in foundations of special education, research, instruction for students with severe disabilities and Applied Behavior Analysis.Ìý
