External Evaluator<\/strong><\/em> Kate Winter, PhD, leads the team at Kate Winter Evaluation, LLC (KWE) — the external evaluator for the Make STEAM Q project.<\/p>\n Dr. Winter is a diverse maker, working with media ranging from yarn to food to woodcrafts and she is currently refurbishing an old lounge chair. While she doesn’t come from a STEM background, she reflects, “I hope that students learn that even English majors (like me) can use and benefit from math and science skills in creative and exciting ways through making.”<\/p>\n
