WHAT: The college\u2019s annual event to welcome first-year and new transfer\u200b students. All times are approximate.<\/strong>
10:50 am | Frese Hall:<\/strong> Musicians from the college\u2019s Aaron Copland School of Music and members of the ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ dance team will walk ahead of President Frank H. Wu and senior college administrators as they lead 1,500 first-year and transfer students in a procession starting at Frese Hall. To symbolize the beginning of their college careers, the students will exit the campus through the main gate onto Kissena Boulevard and proceed north a short distance; they will reenter the campus through the college\u2019s \u201cofficial\u201d entrance gate and walk toward Alumni Plaza.<\/p>\n

11:10 am | Alumni Plaza: Welcome addresses to students<\/strong> by Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Jennifer Jarvis, Wu, Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Patricia Price, Chief Diversity Officer\/Dean of Diversity Jerima DeWese, and Student Association President Jamal Mark will conclude with a confetti cannon salute.<\/strong><\/p>\n

11:45 am | Quad:<\/strong> Students will hear presentations from college department representatives, enjoy performances by student groups, and participate in a large-scale icebreaker event designed to encourage introductions and facilitate friendships among them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 – 2 pm | Quad: Fivio Foreign performance.<\/strong> Brooklyn-born Foreign, featured on \u201cCity of Gods,\u201d with Alicia Keys and Kanye West, was nominated for Album of the Year for songs on Donda at the 64th Grammy Awards. He is signed to RichFish Records and Columbia Records.<\/p>\n

2 – 3 pm | Quad:<\/strong> A club fair and campus tours will conclude the afternoon.<\/p>\n
