QUEENS COLLEGE HOSTS PRIDEFEST 2022, A CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK (CUNY) IN-PERSON CELEBRATION OF DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION<\/b><\/h2>\n

–Open to Students, Faculty and Staff from All 25 CUNY Campuses–<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n

WHAT:\u00a0<\/span><\/b>ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ to host the first in-person Pridefest\u2014a Pride Month celebration of diversity and inclusion for students, faculty, and staff from all 25 City University of New York (CUNY) schools\u2014since 2019.<\/p>\n

Entertainment to include live\u00a0<\/span>performances by musicians and dancers, drag\u00a0numbers, DJs, parade around the quad, stilt walkers, face painting, button making, photo booth, a lemonade stand, pi\u00f1ata, henna, tie-dye, giveaways, and an expo area. HIV testing will also be available.\u00a0<\/span>A special fundraiser will benefit the\u00a0<\/span>AIDS Center of Queens County<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Tours of the new\u00a0exhibit \u201cMy Pride Story<\/a>,\u201d\u00a0on display in the lobby gallery of\u00a0the college\u2019s\u00a0Godwin-Ternbach Museum<\/a>\u00a0as of June 1, will be conducted by drag queens Toni Homeperm and Ashley Jade.<\/p>\n

Video footage of Pridefest 2022 will be preserved in the\u00a0<\/span>LaGuardia and Wagner Archives, CUNY<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pridefest 2022 is made possible through the generous support of the New York City Council, LaGuardia Community College, CUNY; and the LGBTQIA+ Consortium.<\/p>\n

Cosponsors include the Offices of the ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ President,\u00a0Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs,\u00a0Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, Women and Gender Studies Program, and the Godwin-Ternbach Museum; the CUNY Offices of Student Inclusion Initiatives and Coalition for Students with Disabilities; Hostos Community College; Baruch College; College of Staten Island; Guttman Community College; the CUNY Graduate Center; and the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives at LaGuardia Community College. Additional support was provided by ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ student clubs and organizations, including the Student Association; Gender, Love and Sexuality Alliance (GLASA); the South Asian Student Association; the Inter-Greek Council; the Arts Club; the Alliance of Latin American Students (ALAS); the Neuroscience Club; Hillel; and the Association for Latino Professionals for America.<\/span><\/p>\n
