In\u00a0April 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice issued\u00a0new\u00a0ADA Title II regulations requiring\u00a0public universities to ensure that actively used digital content\u00a0is\u00a0accessible.\u00a0These regulations apply directly to course materials\u00a0such as websites, documents, videos,\u00a0media,\u00a0and other web-based instructional resources\u00a0housed in Brightspace and otherwise used in teaching.\u00a0 Please be advised that the deadline for compliance with the federal website and services accessibility requirement\u00a0<\/span>is being<\/span>\u00a0extended to April 26, 2027.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
