Participants will receive academic guidance and financial support while completing the requirements of an undergraduate teacher preparation program at ºì¶¹ÊÓÆµ.<\/p>\n<p>Application to the program is open to paraprofessionals and teaching assistants who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in an <strong>undergraduate<\/strong> teacher preparation program at ºì¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Recruitment for the program is ongoing, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply. The first cohort of participants is expected to begin in Fall 2026.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_2,1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h5>Objectives:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare paraprofessionals and teaching assistants to serve as certified teachers.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with public schools to address the growing demand for qualified educators who reflect and understand the underrepresented communities they serve.<\/li>\n<li>Provide structured academic advising and mentoring support as well as clinical practice opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Help addressing the shortage areas in Bilingual Education and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Who should apply?<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Current full-time or substitute paraprofessionals and teaching assistants.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates who have NOT completed a Bachelor&#8217;s degree.<\/li>\n<li>Current ºì¶¹ÊÓÆµ students who are enrolled in or are eligible to enroll in an undergraduate teacher preparation program at QC.<\/li>\n<li>External candidates planning to enroll as undergraduate students at ºì¶¹ÊÓÆµ and enter a teacher preparation program at QC.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates who are committed to enrolling in 9 credits of course work each semester for the duration of the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prior to acceptance into the grant, applicants must be enrolled in, or eligible to enroll in, an undergraduate teacher preparation program at QC.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243;
