As stakeholders for our candidates completing fieldwork, we ask that you complete evaluations of the candidates and the ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ supervisors to provide us with feedback on our program at the individual level. Submission of these evaluations is essential for the EPP to conduct its annual reviews of programs and candidates\u2019 performance. We encourage you to complete these required assessments in a timely manner.<\/p>\n

The mission of the Professional Education Unit at ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ is to\u00a0facilitate\u00a0the development of competent, caring, and qualified teachers, counselors, school psychologists, and educational leaders dedicated\u00a0to promoting equity, excellence, and ethics in urban schools and communities. To ensure that our candidates and\u00a0graduates have the knowledge and skills they need to become effective\u00a0practitioners and to advance assessment for learning, the Professional Education Unit has adopted an e-portfolio, a web-based assessment management system called Anthology Portfolio.<\/p>\n

Anthology Portfolio (previously known as Chalk & Wire) enables candidates to document\u00a0academic and professional\u00a0development, organize and showcase their work, and reflect on learning in alignment with programmatic goals, objectives, and national standards \u2014 including discipline-specific competencies. Anthology Portfolio also enables the Education Unit and its programs to maintain a quality assurance system comprised of valid data from multiple measures to engage in continuous improvement that is sustained and evidence-based.<\/p>\n

Candidates enrolled in programs within the Education Unit must maintain an active Anthology Portfolio subscription upon admission to an education program and formal enrollment in required coursework.<\/p>\n
