Registering for an Account<\/h3>\n

All students, regardless of how you decide to fulfill the research requirement,\u00a0must<\/strong>\u00a0register for an account on our online tracking system. All credits completed towards your research requirement will be indicated in your account. Your account will be viewed and monitored by your PSYCH 101 instructor. If you have not completed all the required credits towards the requirement by the last day of classes, you will receive an Incomplete for the course. Here are the instructions to register for an account.<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Go to the\u00a0online tracking system<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. \u00a0On the bottom left you will see a \u201cNew Participant?\u201d link. Click on \u201cRequest an account here.\u201d<\/li>\n
  3. \u00a0Fill in your name and email address. Choose a username that is easy to remember (e.g. Jane Doe might choose \u201cjanedoe\u201d or \u201cjdoe\u201d).<\/li>\n
  4. \u00a0Under \u201cCourse,\u201d find your\u00a0instructor\u2019s name\u00a0<\/strong>and the\u00a0semester\u00a0<\/strong>in which you are taking the course. For example, if your instructor for Spring 2015 is Dr. Smith, you would select SPRING15 Smith.\u201d (If you are fulfilling an Incomplete from a previous semester, please choose your past instructor and corresponding semester as opposed to the current semester.)\u00a0\u00a0It is very important that you select the CORRECT INSTRUCTOR AND SEMESTER from this list, otherwise your credits will not be visible to your instructor and they will give you an Incomplete for the course.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. \u00a0Click on Request Account.<\/li>\n
  6. \u00a0Your username and a password will be emailed to you immediately. (If not, please check your Spam folder and make sure to allow notifications from\u00a0queenscollege-admin@sona-systems.net<\/strong>).<\/li>\n
  7. \u00a0Log-in with your username and password that were sent to you (you can change your password after you log-in).<\/li>\n
  8. \u00a0The system will prompt you to answer a series of demographic questions. You can maximize your eligibility for research studies if you complete these questions. If you choose not to complete the questions, you will only be eligible for those studies that have no eligibility criteria. If you choose to complete the questions, once you do so, click on \u201cSubmit Pre-test\u201d.<\/li>\n
  9. \u00a0You will now be at the Welcome Page. You may want to\u00a0CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD\u00a0<\/strong>to something you can remember more easily. To change your password, click on \u201cchange your password\u201d under the \u201cMy Profile\u201d section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
