In order to be eligible for this ceremony, full-time students must have made the Dean\u2019s List* for both fall and spring semesters of said academic year. Please check your transcript in August as Dean\u2019s List is added to your transcript in July of each year. If you believe that you should have been on the Dean\u2019s List for a particular semester and were not, please ask the Registrar to review your transcript.<\/p>\n<p>Part-time students who have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the two consecutive fall and spring semesters with a minimum of 12 letter-quality credits combined will also be honored at this ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Special honor goes to students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.750-3.899. They will be celebrated as Provost Scholars; students with a cumulative GPA of 3.900-4.000 will be celebrated as Presidential Scholars.\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n<p><strong>*Dean\u2019s List criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Dean\u2019s List is established each semester in accordance with standards set by the college.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <em>Undergraduate degree students registered for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">12 or more credits a semester<\/span>.<\/em> The Dean\u2019s List will be pro\u00admulgated at the end of each Fall and Spring semester. (It is not promulgated for work taken during Summer Sessions.) To be named to the Dean\u2019s List, a student must have an average of 3.5 in 12 credits of quality grades (<em>A+ through F, WF, and WU<\/em>) in that semester. Grades of<em> INC, P, NC, W, and Z<\/em> will be ignored if the basic requirement of 12 credits of quality grades is met. <em>All<\/em> quality grades will be included in the com\u00adputation. The credits considered will be those on the student\u2019s record of registration at the end of the third week of the semester. The determination of eligibil\u00adity will be made only at the time semester grades are posted. In order to be named to the Dean\u2019s List, a student must have an average of 3.5 in a minimum of 12 credits of quality grades (A+ through F, WF, and WU) during the academic year.
