He graduated from New York University (NYU) and completed post-doctoral fellowship in educational policy at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Before joining the faculty at ºì¶¹ÊÓÆµ in 2005, Professor Wamba served as a Senior Researcher at NYU\u2019s Institute for Education and Social Policy, where he co-spearheaded research evaluating charter schools across New York State and the United States. His current scholarship critically focuses on participatory action research, decolonization and decoloniality, the impacts of neoliberalism on public education, post-modern and trans-modern theories, and cognitive justice.<\/p>\n<p>A globally recognized scholar, Professor Wamba is a three-time Fulbright recipient, having served as a Senior Fulbright Scholar and Fulbright Flex Scholar at Mzuzu University in Malawi, as well as a Specialist Fulbright Scholar at University College Cork in Ireland. He also received an USAID-funded grant to study education inclusion in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Other academic honors include a Roothbert Fellowship, as well as NYU&#8217;s Samuel Eshborn Award and Paul Lomax Doctoral Award for scholarship.
