The Peer Ambassador Program is designed as a supportive extension of the Academic Advising Center (AAC) aimed to support to eligible freshman QC in 4/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0students and undeclared/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0transfer students during their first year at ºì¶¹ÊÓƵ./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0 All students must meet with a professional academic advisor for initial advisement and registration and are also encouraged to connect with our peers for additional support./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

Our peer ambassadors are experienced upper-level students who understand both the excitement and challenges of starting college or transitioning to a new college environment. These trained student leaders are here to share insights, answer questions, and offer guidance on everything from navigating campus to managing academics./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

Through the peer-to-peer connection, we have created a community built on support and connection that empowers every student to thrive both academically and personally in the spirit of student success./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

The Academic Advising Center/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0(AAC) Peer Ambassador Program launched in 2021 to provide peer-to-peer advisement support for matriculated undergraduate students. Since then, the program has grown with the generous support and collaborative partnerships of College Access: Research Action & (CARA),/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0Career Launch/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783//Service Corps,/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0Gates Foundation,/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0Gray Foundation,/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0Petrie Foundation,/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0Summerfield Foundation/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0and/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0CUNY Central Office of Student Affairs (COSA)./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

In addition to these grant-funded partnerships, the AAC is excited to announce a new collaboration with the Sociology Department beginning Fall 2025. Eligible students may now earn 3 Sociology elective credits for their work as peer leaders through our structured peer mentoring program. This collaboration allows students to gain valuable leadership experience while earning college credit./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

The Peer Ambassador Program offers peer-to-peer holistic support to eligible new freshman students involved in the/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0QC in 4/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0program and undeclared/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0transfer students/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0through a cohort based model. /aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0Our cohorts consist of all students who are unaffiliated with special programs which provide their own advisement and support (e.g. ACE QC, Global Student Success Program (GSSP), Honors, Macaulay, Project ExCEL, SEEK, & Veterans)./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

The AAC Peer Ambassadors initiate contact with new students during the new student onboarding cycle to assist with a successful transition into the first semester. At the start of the fall and spring semesters, mentoring cohorts are assigned. Peers assist their students with academic readiness, registration, navigating CUNY systems, providing office referrals, and much more!/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

The Academic Advising Center (AAC) Peer Ambassador Program began in 2021 with the goal to develop peer-to-peer advisement support for matriculated undergraduate students. Since then, the program has expanded with the generous support and collaborative partnerships of College Access: Research Action & (CARA), Career Launch/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783//Service Corps, Gates Foundation, Petrie Foundation, Summerfield Foundation and CUNY Central Office of Student Affairs (COSA)./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

The Peer Ambassador Program offers peer-to-peer holistic support to eligible new freshman students involved in the/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0QC in 4/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0program and undeclared/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0transfer students through a cohort based model. /aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0Our cohorts consist of all students who are unaffiliated with special programs which provide their own advisement and support (e.g. Honors, Macaulay, Navitas, Project ExCEL, SEEK, & Veterans)./aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n

The AAC Peer Ambassadors initiate contact with new students during the new student onboarding cycle to ensure a seamless and successful transition into the first semester. /aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/u00a0After classes begin, mentoring cohorts are assigned at the start of the fall and spring semesters. Peers assist their students with academic readiness, registration, navigating CUNY systems, providing office referrals, and much more!/aac/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/7783/n
